We were invited along to check out some of the suppliers, dishes and ideas behind the surf n’ turf to see what it was all about. We’ve got to say, if fresh fish and tender meat are your thing then this is one for you.
Head chef, Glenn Roach brought the idea of the surd n’ turf to the MacDonald hotel earlier this year, aiming to showcase the best in what local meats and fish had to offer.
Expect everything from 32-day aged Scottish sirloin steaks, Scottish hand-picked scallops to spicy beef fillet tails from the farm. This isn’t one for the veggies, but meat eaters should flock down.
